Finnish tourist, 58, 'stabbed by transgender lover in row over money'
A Finnish tourist was allegedly stabbed by his transgender lover in a row over money in Thailand.
Lauri Tapani Oerling, 58, refused to give money to his ladyboy partner before they had a row at a rented room in 'Sin City' Pattaya.
Neighbours reportedly heard screaming before the suspect was said to have slashed at Lauri with a sharp object and plunged it into his left chest.
Despite his injuries, the bleeding holidaymaker managed to grab his motorcycle keys and drive to the Pattaya City Police Station, around a kilometre away, to file a report in the early hours of today.
Officers were shocked as the man staggered into the station with his white jersey dripping in blood. He had cuts on his wrinkled face, and blood poured from an open wound near his left armpit.
Paramedics administered first aid as Lauri recounted the alleged attack to police.
He said: 'She stole my motorbike last September and we are paying for it... must pay for me 207,000. And she don't pay. And she tell me all the time.'
The Finnish man said that he had been in a relationship with the transgender woman for around a year.
The cuts to his face and chest were treated before he was rushed to a hospital.
Footage showed Lauri covered in bandages as he was wheeled into an ambulance. His blood was seen staining the white tiles of the station floor.
Officers also examined his blood-stained motorcycle and photographed it as evidence.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Suthiraphan Tapsri of the Pattaya City Police Station said they were investigating his room in the Soi Buakhao area to track down the ladyboy suspect.
He said: ‘Investigators were sent to the victim's room after he rode around one kilometre (0.6 miles) to the police station to seek help.
‘We are inspecting CCTV footage and locating his transgender partner for questioning before proceeding with legal action.'
Lauri had previously been arrested in 2016 for allegedly setting fire to his condominium following an argument with his Thai boyfriend in Pattaya.
He reportedly burned his clothes in the toilet after his partner stormed out of their room following an argument.
