Jealous ex 'stalks former lover before ramming her motorcycle' killing her and new partner
A jealous ex allegedly rammed his former girlfriend's motorcycle, killing her and her new partner.
Former paramedic Songphol Khonjamnong, 28, was said to have been stalking his ex Narisara Pengsawang, 24, when he parked his pickup truck near her home in Bangkok, Thailand.
He allegedly watched as Narisara rode away on a motorcycle with her new boyfriend, Jedtapon Thongkhamma, 45, before following the pair along Ratchadaphisek Road.
But the obsessive ex suddenly turned on his siren and sped towards the couple.
He allegedly smashed his pickup truck into their motorbike, crushing them against a footbridge column and killing both at the scene.
Police arrived at the scene at around 12:50 am local time on September 3.
They found metal debris scattered across the sidewalk, while a black Honda PCX lay wrecked in the middle of the road.
The couple were found dead with severe injuries. Narisara's leg was severed from the impact.
Officers recovered three bags of red meth pills and crystal meth from the motorcycle compartment.
The suspect, Songphol, was seriously injured and rushed to Kasemrad Prachachuen Hospital. Officers said he will be questioned when he has recovered from his injuries.
Narisara's grieving family were seen breaking down in tears as cops cordoned off the area.
They told investigators that she had broken up with Songphol around two months ago over his violent behaviour, accusing him of frequent physical abuse.
Police Colonel Sakdidet Kamplanuwong, superintendent of Prachachuen district station, said officers were reviewing CCTV footage 'to determine whether the crash was deliberate'.
He added: ‘We need to look at the footage leading up to the incident to establish exactly what happened.
‘We will also need to question him about his connection to the foundation and check whether he was actually a member or listed among its volunteers.
‘We also need to establish whether the vehicle belongs to the Poh Teck Tung Foundation, whether it is his personal vehicle or belongs to someone else, and whether it was authorised to use emergency lights.
‘We're still reviewing the evidence and investigating what happened leading up to the incident.'
Songphol's former colleagues at the Poh Teck Tung Foundation said he had recently been dismissed in March over alleged drug use.
One former colleague said: ‘He joined our foundation as a volunteer in 2024.
'He was dismissed on March 31, 2026, in connection with a drug-related case. It was related to drugs and violated the foundation's rules, so we had to remove him as a volunteer.
'As for the vehicle, it was probably his personal car which still has the foundation logo sticker on it. I think he may still have been using it to earn extra income.
'We can take legal action for that, but that depends on the foundation how they plan to proceed.'
Officials said the suspect was being treated, and will later be taken into police custody for legal proceedings.
