Paramedics rescue injured Chinese tourist trapped inside crashed car

Paramedics rescued an injured Chinese tourist trapped inside his crashed car in Thailand.
Liang Tang, 37, was driving along Highway 331 in Chonburi when he reportedly lost control on the wet road, on Thursday afternoon.
His Mazda BT-50 pickup truck was said to have smashed into a roadside barrier before flipping upside down, leaving him trapped in the wreckage.
Rescuers rushed to the scene at around 2:30 pm local time, where they found the badly damaged pickup lying on its roof.
Tang was still inside and had suffered a head wound, a severe injury to his right arm and abrasions across his body.
Footage shows officers pulling him out through the window. Paramedics then gave him first aid and took him to hospital.
Other motorists said the road was wet and slippery from the rain when the pickup suddenly lost control and crashed into the barrier.
Police Captain Rueangsak Siribut of the Huay Yai Police Station said officers would review CCTV footage to find exactly what caused the crash.
He added: 'We have inspected the area and documented the scene as evidence. We also arranged for a tow truck to come and remove the pickup from the site.'
Thailand has one of the world's worst road safety records. Ministers have set the goal of reducing fatalities from 32.7 deaths per 100,000 people to 12 per 100,000 people by the year 2027.
However, a lack of road safety education in schools along with notoriously easy driving tests, police failures to enforce road laws, and chronic under-investment in infrastructure, all appear to hamper the efforts.
