Police seized thousands of fake baby bottles and teats in a warehouse raid in Thailand.

The Economic Crime Suppression Division (ECD) stormed the facility in Bangkok, where they found more than 1,000 fake baby bottles and teats bearing counterfeit trademarks, on October 6.

The operation followed a complaint from Pigeon Corporation after the company discovered counterfeit products being sold under its brand.

Officers traced the products to a storage hub in a shipping company in the Khlong Sam Wa district.

They seized 400 fake baby bottles and 750 teats inside the warehouse, which had reportedly been imported for sale to customers.

The raid was carried out with officials from the Department of Intellectual Property and representatives of the trademark owner, under a search warrant issued by the Central Intellectual Property and International Trade Court.

The 1,150 items were confiscated as evidence and handed over to ECD investigators for further legal action.

The site manager, Phitchayaphak, told police the property belonged to a shipping and cargo handling company run by her younger brother, Phanupong, and said she had only been asked to open the storage room for officers.

Police Lieutenant General Natthasak Chaowanasai, commissioner of the Central Investigation Bureau, warned that counterfeit baby products could potentially pose dangers to mothers and children.

He added: 'We have documented the seized items as evidence and will summon the company director and other people involved for questioning before proceeding with legal action.'
