Shirtless Canadian tourist runs into factory before smashing balcony glass door and falling to his death

A shirtless Canadian tourist ran into a factory before smashing through a balcony glass door and falling to his death in Thailand.
Ryan Ricardo Chin, 40, from Montreal, sparked panic when he allegedly broke into a factory near Bangkok on June 12.
CCTV footage captured the half-naked holidaymaker running onto the second floor and heading towards a glass door leading to the front balcony.
He ignored warnings from a building cleaner and used his elbow to smash through the glass, cutting his hands and feet as he stepped on the shards.
Shocked locals watched as he then began shouting while perched on an air-conditioning unit.
Patrol officers from Bang Kaew district station later arrived to negotiate his surrender.
But the rampaging Canadian reportedly refused to listen before plunging head-first from the balcony.
Medics found him lying in a pool of blood and pronounced him dead at the scene.
Investigators found Chin had been staying at a hotel some 500 metres away.
A search of his hotel room found he had moved the refrigerator into the bathroom, clogged the toilet, and left the room in disarray.
A company maid said she was working when she heard that a foreign man had entered the premises.
She added: 'At first, he appeared to be trying to get into a bathroom before running to the second floor and heading onto the balcony.'
Police said they have recorded the incident in the daily log and coordinated with the Canadian embassy to contact his relatives.
His body was taken to the Chakri Naruebodindra Medical Institute for a post-mortem exam to determine the cause of death and determine what led to the fatal fall.
Thailand has seen several incidents involving foreign nationals behaving erratically before falling to their deaths.
