French crime bosses linked to a transnational crime network were arrested in an armed condo raid in Thailand.

Youcef Oumlil and Abdelhamid Abed, both 42 and from Argenteuil, were accused of leading an organised crime syndicate in France before fleeing to Thailand.

The pair were said to have been living the high life at a luxury condominium in Bangkok, only emerging at night to party at entertainment venues in the capital.

Police raided the property on June 23, in a crackdown on suspected foreign criminals hiding out in Thailand.

Armed cops stormed into the building, where they found the two French men staying in different floors of the condo.

Dramatic footage shows the officers barging into a room, pointing their weapons, yelling as they announced the police operation.

The suspects were seen being pinned to the floor and handcuffed.

They were wanted on an Interpol Red Notice over alleged involvement in the transnational crime, drug trade, money laundering, and 'conspiracy to convert assets derived from drug trafficking offences'.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Ithithorn Prasertsak of Immigration Division 3 said the pair frequently rotated condos to avoid arrest before being caught in Bangkok's Asok area.

He added: 'We informed them of the revocation of their permission to stay in the country and of their legal rights.

‘After that, both men were taken into custody, and their detention was recorded before they were transferred to the Immigration Bureau for further legal action.'
